GeoGebra Institute of Slovakia - SGI
is hosted by Slovak Society for Geometry and Graphics - SSGG,
which is located at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Humanities an Social Sciences of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia.
SGI is a part of the net of local GeoGebra institutes, accredited by the
International GeoGebra Institute - IGI.
Main goals, aims and activities of SGI are
- disseminate information on GeoGebra software and provide platform for cooperation of software users
- provide expert help, support and professional training, accredit Slovak GeoGebra experts and tutors
- create a non-formal community of GeoGebra users
- foster development of dynamic instructional materials by means of software GeoGebra in Slovak language
- develop and maintain Slovak database of available source materials for teaching mathematics supported by GeoGebra provided by authors for overall free sharing
- support research activities connected to the usage of software GeoGebra in education of mathematics at all school types
- support activity of International GeoGebra Institute and contribute to the international pool of shared materials in English
- deliver presentations at national and international conference

Training and Support:
To coordinate and provide professional development opportunities and support for both pre-service and in-service teachers.
- Development and Sharing:
To develop and share workshop resources and classroom materials, and to continually improve and extend the dynamic mathematics software GeoGebra.
- Research and Collaboration:
To conduct and support GeoGebra-related research which focuses on the teaching and learning of mathematics in order to inform and improve training and development activities, and to promote collaboration between IGI and local GeoGebra Institutes and between international colleagues.
